ING
230 Park Avenue, 13th Floor, NYC
Architect: Ted Moudis Associates

9,000 square foot, four phase multi-level build out in the landmark Helmsley Building known as the jewel of Park Avenue. Existing slab was demolished for the installation of the 14-foot solid cherry grand staircase. The America’s conference room, used exclusively by top ING executives, includes state of the art audio/video conferencing capability as well as custom made cherry and marble conference table and credenza. Every wall incorporates a myriad of finite details from full stained solid cherry base, crown and chair rail moldings to silk fabric wall coverings to masking closet doors to appear as yet another section of lacquered wall paneling.

LEED requirements were met by assuring that all wood was FS certified. Carpet, wall covering and tile in pantry were recycled and a LEED platinum level of interior air quality was held throughout construction. Weekly LEED commission meetings were held in order to confirm project’s ongoing status.
